The New York State Department of Transportation announced lane closures scheduled for Route 9A in Mount Pleasant and on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Elmsford to allow crews to perform maintenance work in the area.
The NYSDOT said that between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29, there will be one lane closed on Route 9A in the area of Route 141. A lane closure is planned for the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway ramp to westbound I-287.
According to the NYSDOT, “motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.”
